Hazards

• Little Rock Preschool will provide a Hazard and Risk Management register, as per the Health and Safety Employment Act. This can be found in the kete just inside the main door.
• Hazards will be identified and eliminated if possible. If this is not possible then they will be minimised or isolated.
• The hazard list will be reviewed regularly (approximately every six months) and identified hazards will be monitored to see if they require any further action.
• All accidents and serious harm will be recorded in the accident book.
• The accident book will be reviewed regularly to identify hazards and appropriate action taken.
• The environment inside and out will be checked daily for hazards by teachers.
• Owner will be notified immediately re any repairs, safety or hazard issues to be dealt with.
• Volunteers, visitors and trades people will be given the hazard list to read so they will be aware of any potential hazards within the environment.
